"Our Core Program"

INDUSTRIAL SELLING SKILLS’ Basic Through Intermediate program is our core program.  We’re excited about what it can do for your company and for you personally!  “Basic through Intermediate”, is designed to equip your salesperson with the fundamental selling skill sets and then quickly move on to mastering more intermediate skills.

Basic through Intermediate focuses on three core areas:

  • EFFECTIVE SELLING SKILLS
  • PRODUCTIVITY IN THE FIELD
  • JUST ENOUGH STRATEGY AND GOAL SETTING

The first priority is equipping the student to introduce your company to a prospect and re-introduce your company to an old customer that may not be sourcing all of your products and services.  Then we begin putting together sales talks on specific products.  We complete two product sales packages together in class.  Students complete the course with selling skills on two of your key products and have enough experience to duplicate the process and apply it to other products and services as the need arises.  Throughout this process, students will be trained and actually use tools that will help them to understand your customers better, ask the questions you need them to ask to clarify the customer requirements, make a correct application recommendation, then fill the customer’s order.
 
After we’ve made it through the basic selling skills, we move on to more intermediate skills such as “getting in the door”, keeping it open, handling objections, concerns, and difficult customers.  We even spend a little time on setting up the sequence of sales calls, so you always have the opportunity to schedule another appointment if you want one. 

The final segments are dedicated to productivity in the field, goal setting, and just enough strategic training so that a salesperson can put together a credible sales call plan with healthy priorities and show you measurable progress.
