Dog may be man's best friend, but man doesn't always return the favor. Millions of healthy, loving dogs and cats are euthanized each year because man has failed them. Irresponsible or uneducated owners, overbreeding and public apathy are not proper rewards for the unconditional love provided by our companion animals.
